The Real-Time Unified Experiences team at Microsoft Fabric is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to shape the future of real-time intelligence products. We’re building solutions that deliver timely, data-driven insights through AI, enabling users to interpret millions of daily events and make informed decisions instantly. We need skilled full-stack engineers to create exceptional user experiences for our applications, helping users unlock the full potential of their data. You’ll tackle complex technical challenges, leveraging cutting-edge open-source web technologies to build modern, high-performance, reliable, secure, responsive, and accessible user interfaces. Key technologies include React/Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, PNPM (package manager), Vite (bundler), Turbo (monorepo and tooling), Playwright (end-to-end testing), and TanStack (routing and query). Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering, developing applications at an enterprise scale.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years of front-end development experience.
- Systematic problem-solving skills with a focus on clean, modular design.
- Proven track record of excellence in software engineering, including design, coding, code reviews, testing, and DevOps.
- Experience building, deploying, and operating applications and services on cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Experience with data visualization technologies (e.g., D3, Highcharts).
- Growth mindset with a commitment to learning, seeking diverse perspectives, and staying current with industry trends and techniques.
- Startup mentality with the ability to move and iterate rapidly, work across disciplines, and maintain a strong customer focus.
