Requirements

Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage applications through the full development lifecycle while effectively prioritizing time, and communicate clearly and collaboratively across teams.
Bring deep mainframe expertise—including 5+ years with COBOL development, JCL, DB2/IMS/VSAM data management, familiarity with tools like Xpediter and Endevor, strong testing/documentation skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to additional mainframe technologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline is required.

Nice To Haves

knowledge of consumer-directed healthcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build high‑impact software on the Alegeus platform—designing, developing, and optimizing secure, scalable applications that power real consumer healthcare experiences.
Collaborate in a modern product‑team model, working closely with Engineers, QA, and Product to solve complex problems and deliver polished, high‑quality features.
Own the full engineering lifecycle—coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and continuously improving application components and internal tools.
Turn ideas into production‑ready solutions, translating business requirements and user stories into thoughtful technical designs and clean, maintainable code.
Champion engineering excellence by enforcing coding standards, secure development practices, and mentoring teammates to raise the technical bar.
Support high‑availability systems, participating in our production on‑call rotation and helping ensure smooth, reliable releases with minimal customer impact.
