Focused on Emerging Content, XR, Conversational AI, and Voice Assistants, the team develops innovative capabilities that enhance product discovery and interaction. Beyond end-user solutions, the group builds robust platform APIs and tools to empower other teams with advanced content technologies. Collaborating across disciplines, the team drives scalable, reliable software aligned with Walmart’s strategic goals, fostering technical excellence and continuous innovation to deliver impactful customer experiences in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.

Requirements

BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of Android platform experience.
2+ years of programming experience in Kotlin.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Kotlin and Java.
Deep understanding of various aspects of Mobile App Development.
Experience in integrating with REST based backend services.
Experience integrating AI/ML components and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
Experience in working with large code bases and effectively driving large projects.
Experience in mentoring engineers and influencing other engineers across the organization.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Good problem-solving attitude and analytical skills.
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

Lead the discovery and development phases of medium to large Mobile Engineering projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering and evaluating information engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues;
Provide mobile engineering support to the business by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues.
Enhancing design to prevent reoccurrence of defects across multiple devices; ensuring on-time delivery.
Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others.
Supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
