Microsoft Purview solutions is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to offer integrated coverage to address data fragmentation across organizations, improve visibility for data protection and governance, and address the merging of traditional IT management roles. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
Experience building software systems, with a focus on large-scale, distributed platforms.
Programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, or C++.
Experience guiding and mentoring engineers, driving their projects to completion.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Understanding of security principles and the challenges of securing large-scale systems.
Experience working with high-scale, mission-critical SaaS products, including service operations

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, reliable, maintainable services
Demonstrate strategic understanding of the timing and rationale for design choices, within the scope of work.
Consistently contribute key ideas to the product or service design and vision that meets the customer's needs
Drive design reviews across the team and apply expertise in available technologies
Apply metrics to drive the quality and stability of code
Have a sense of pride, commitment, and personal accountability for the service quality, completeness and resulting user experience for the life of the product or service
Work closely with geographically distributed teams, including Product Managers and developers, to drive key improvements in backend Engineering System.
