Join us to be part of a transformative journey that can shape the industry's future. What we need: We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to join our production support team. You will be responsible for triaging and debugging applications written in Java/J2EE microservices to address production issues and document your analysis for defects/enhancements. This is a critical role requiring a highly dedicated individual who can address incident tickets in timely manner.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Production support for Java/J2EE applications.
  • Strong experience in L2|L3 support and enhancement on applications based on Java/J2EE Microservices
  • Strong knowledge, understanding and work experience on Java/J2EE, SQL, Oracle, Postgres DB, Splunk, Elastic Search, shell scripting and Containers
  • Strong Knowledge on ITIL processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good knowledge on Java Tech stack
  • Awareness of cloud concepts (preferably AWS)
  • Knowledge on Monitoring tools e.g., New Relic, Dynatrace etc. and understand how monitoring tools fit in IT landscape
  • Experience working in Onshore | Offshore model
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems and/or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering or enterprise application support involving Java based technology stack (Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate etc.)
  • Proficiency in development/support of high-performance distributed software systems, APIs, and or web services (Mule API Manager, REST, XML, JSON)
  • 5+ years of experience with API Gateway, microservices, SAML based SSO to 3rd party platforms
  • 3+ years of experience with containerized applications (Docker, Rancher etc.)
  • Strong data background in SQL programming including PostgreSQL functions and procedures
  • Experience with client-side frameworks, preferably AngularJS
  • Experience with New Relic or similar performance and availability monitoring tool
  • Experience with GIT version control system and deployment software such as Jenkins
  • Handling of incident and change tickets using tools such as ServiceNow, Atlassian Jira

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Fintech/Financial Services
  • Experience with customer facing web based financial applications
  • Amazon AWS experience or certifications desired but not required
  • Elastic Stack experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Able to investigate & resolve problems in Java based microservices applications
  • Able to co-ordinate with different IT groups to resolve L2|L3 issues
  • Able to provide best practices for Application Support processes
  • Able to document technical architecture and Integration details
  • Able to plan different Maintenance-Adaptive, Perfective, Corrective & Preventative tasks
  • Able to drive solution on System Restoration calls and co-ordinate with different teams
  • Ability to identify Automation opportunities and implement
