Position: Senior Software Engineer Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 Duties: Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Explore relevant products/solutions from an existing repertoire, that can address business/technical needs. Assess gaps/ updates/ modifications between the customer/business expectations and the existing product/solutions (in case of agile methodology, for the iteration). Classify the requirements into applicable types (For example - Functional/Non Functional, Derived/Imposed/Emergent etc.). Anticipate the solution risks / issues during requirements gathering phase, inform relevant stakeholders and recommend corrective steps. Contribute to the creation of user stories for component/application/complex (For agile methodology). Assist in design of solutions such that the processes / applications work in tandem for specific components/modules of a product. Evaluate trade-offs while designing a component based on the business requirements. Assist in conversion of HLD (High Level Design) to create detailed design using mock screens, pseudo codes and detailed functional logic of the modules for specific modules / components of a product. Create/configure minimalistic code for entire component/application and ensure the components are meeting business/technical requirements, non-functional requirements, low-maintainability, high-availability and high-scalability needs. Assist in the selection of appropriate languages (E.g. JavaScript, Python, C# etc.), development standards and tools (E.g. Monday.com, Linx, Embold etc.) for software coding/configuration. Take initiative to learn the fundamentals of different coding languages and frameworks that would be useful for future scope of work. Build scripts for automation of repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery), Testing or any other process (as applicable). Implement telemetry features as required independently. Ensure security policy requirements are properly applied to components/application during code development/configuration. Map the customer requirements in to test objectives. Identify and create test cases for the component/module. Execute test cases to test the code and detect errors and defects for the entire component. Execute different types of testing using appropriate testing tools based on the testing needs. Track and analyze defects for the component/ module and carry out regression testing to fix defects in all instances of code changes. Analyze defects from past projects/solutions to avoid recurrence of similar defects. Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks for the application. Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area. Skills required: Experience coding in object-oriented programming to develop Large Scale Backed retail applications. Experience with highly scalable, fault-tolerant, microservices design and implementation of REST APIs in Java. Experience with database tuning, clean-up, and troubleshooting of performance database management and analytics using AzureSQL and BigQuery. Experience with highly performant and optimized business flows and data pipelines using data structures and algorithms. Experience with health monitoring, trends analysis, and anomalies detection using Metric and Analytics tools Splunk and Grafana. Experience designing and developing Multi-Tenant Reverse Logistics Platform using MVC Architecture, Apache Camel, and Apache Spring. Experience deploying production systems, availability maintenance of services, and DevOps using Azure Cloud and on-premises cloud. Experience designing Async systems to provide distributed and highly performant services for Supply Chain Ecosystem using Apache Kafka, JMS, and IBMMQ. Experience debugging and directing Root Cause Analysis using Dynatrace, SQL, and BigQuery. Experience supporting eCommerce customer facing systems by performing data correction, reprocessing of any failed events, and providing uninterrupted service in case of unavailability using Shell Scripting and Apache Spark. Experience scaling large scale systems in a distributed environment using OneOps, Docker, and Kubernetes. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills. Salary Range: $153,301/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
