You’ll be a trusted advisor on engineering best practices and innovation. As a senior team member, you’ll take pride in shaping how millions of people interact with the world’s largest retailer. As a Senior iOS Engineer at Sam’s Club, you’ll work with a small team of talented engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable mobile solutions. You’ll design architectural patterns, review code, guide best practices, and drive the technical vision for our iOS apps that power the shopping experiences of millions of members. You have these core strengths:Deep understanding of iOS frameworks (UIKit, SwiftUI) and component lifecycles. Proficient with Swift and Xcode , with practical knowledge of multithreading, networking, offline storage , and performance optimization . Experience developing, testing, and deploying iOS applications to the App Store. Strong grasp of GraphQL , REST APIs, and API integration patterns. Working knowledge of Combine , Core Data , and dependency injection frameworks . Proven ability to understand product requirements and translate them into reliable, maintainable code. Requirements

  • Deep understanding of iOS frameworks (UIKit, SwiftUI) and component lifecycles.
  • Proficient with Swift and Xcode , with practical knowledge of multithreading, networking, offline storage , and performance optimization .

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement core features within the Sam’s Club iOS application , especially in the shopping and checkout experience.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineering leads to build seamless and performant user experiences.
  • Contribute to and evolve the mobile architecture , ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Conduct detailed code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Mentor other engineers on coding standards, design principles, and architectural patterns.
  • Experiment with new frameworks, tools, and technologies; quickly prototype ideas.
  • Lead the discovery phase of complex projects to define high-level design and technical direction.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
