About The Position

The Senior Software Engineer will lead the delivery of scoped features and software components through collaborative teams, ensuring alignment with platform and business objectives. Our team delivers critical screening and compliance solutions that support Walmart Marketplace’s growth by enabling legitimate sellers and preventing fraudulent activities. We focus on building reliable, scalable software that safeguards the platform and its users. Requirements

  • Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Rust, Dart, and C++.
  • Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, code review, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices.
  • Proven ability to deliver scoped features and models through iterative development and continuous integration/deployment.
  • Demonstrated skills in AI/ML integration and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
  • Solid understanding of platform design, product strategy, and technical solution design aligned with business objectives.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and technical ownership.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Own scoped feature and model delivery through collaborative engineering teams, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support.
  • Write clean, efficient, reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Integrate AI and ML components to enhance software intelligence and leverage generative AI tools to improve development velocity.
  • Assist in converting high-level designs into detailed, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with platform objectives.
  • Engage stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements and measurable success metrics.
  • Monitor application performance, ensure adherence to milestones, and support continuous integration and deployment practices.
  • Promote engineering excellence through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives
