Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a backend, full-stack, or product-minded software engineer
• Strong experience building and shipping production software in high-growth startup or scale-up environments
• Background in B2B SaaS, fintech, billing, finance, accounting, or revenue operations software
• Experience designing reliable backend systems and working on distributed or event-driven architectures
• Strong product instinct and customer empathy, with the ability to understand why a feature matters, not just how to implement it
• Comfortable working in ambiguity and taking ownership of complex problems end-to-end
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively on a lean, high-performing team
• Experience with one or more modern backend or full-stack languages such as Kotlin, Java, Python, Ruby, or TypeScript
• Familiarity with relational databases and performance-sensitive querying

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Kotlin or strong willingness to ramp quickly into it
• Strong frontend product experience with React and TypeScript
• Deep relational database expertise and/or experience with OLAP systems such as BigQuery or ClickHouse
• Experience working on event streaming, billing infrastructure, financial systems, or other correctness-critical platforms
• Prior experience at top B2B SaaS or fintech companies
• Strong academic background in Computer Science or a related technical field

Responsibilities

• Build and scale backend systems that power billing, invoicing, collections, and revenue-critical workflows for modern B2B companies
• Design and ship end-to-end product features across backend services, event infrastructure, and user-facing product surfaces
• Architect and improve systems that process high-volume, business-critical event streams with strong correctness and reliability requirements
• Help evolve the company’s backend architecture to support rapid growth, increased throughput, and long-term scalability
• Work on distributed systems, ingestion pipelines, and data-intensive infrastructure where performance and accuracy are essential
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering peers to solve complex customer problems with thoughtful, reliable software
• Make technical decisions around storage, horizontal scalability, cost, resilience, and maintainability
• Contribute to a fast-moving engineering culture with significant ownership, strong collaboration, and real influence over how systems are built
• Take production responsibility for systems where uptime, data correctness, and customer trust are critical
