As a Senior Software Engineer supporting the Crew Training Systems and Architecture Team, you’ll design, build, and maintain critical systems that report to the FAA and track training status and schedules for all Southwest Pilots and Instructors. You’ll apply advanced engineering expertise to deliver functionally sound, well integrated applications that align with customer needs, organizational standards, and development methodologies. This role proactively identifies and resolves production issues across technology areas, ensuring system reliability and compliance. You’ll also mentor other Software Engineers and bring a holistic view of the organization, understanding how technology decisions impact operations, safety, and regulatory commitments. Additional Details This role allows for voluntary remote work for the majority of your working time within the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with occasional on-site presence at our Corporate Campus for training, meetings, and business needs. This role may also require limited travel for business purposes. U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. required and no current or future work authorization sponsorship available.
