Senior DevX Software Engineer is a hands-on individual contributor focused on improving developer experience (DevX), CI/CD platforms, and cloud-native delivery pipelines. This role provides deep technical expertise across build, test, release, and reliability domains while partnering closely with application teams, SRE, security, and platform engineering. The engineer acts as an influential collaborator, enabling teams to deliver software faster, safer, and more reliably through well-designed automation and tooling. Requirements

  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Harness and Jenkins in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of Developer Experience (DevX) and platform engineering best practices.
  • Experience delivering cloud-native solutions on GCP or other major cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm for application delivery.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and YAML.
  • Proficiency in Linux, Bash, and Python for automation and platform tooling.
  • Experience integrating SonarQube, and JFrog into CI/CD workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Dynatrace and Splunk for monitoring and observability.
  • Understanding of SRE principles, production readiness, and reliability engineering.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow (SNOW) for incident, change, and request management.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Agile delivery processes.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence teams through technical expertise.
  • Proven team player with excellent communication skills across engineering and operations teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically a minimum of 7 years of systems analysis and application program development experience.
  • Some previous project leadership experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Cloud certifications on any major platform are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate complex engineering and platform requirements across application teams and design scalable, secure, and cost-effective DevX solutions, including CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and cloud-native delivery platforms.
  • Design, implement, test, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and supporting platforms using GitHub Actions (hands-on), Harness, and Jenkins, ensuring reliability, consistency, and fast feedback cycles.
  • Lead the integration of vendor tools and platforms (e.g., CI/CD, security, observability, artifact management) with existing enterprise systems and engineering workflows.
  • Serve as a technical lead or sub-lead on DevX, platform, or CI/CD initiatives, influencing technical direction and execution across multiple teams.
  • Act as a technical consultant and mentor to engineers and delivery teams, providing guidance across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
  • Collaborate closely with application teams, SRE, security, infrastructure, and platform engineering to standardize tooling, improve developer productivity, and reduce operational friction.
  • Coordinate DevX and CI/CD activities across engineering, infrastructure, testing, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery into development, testing, and production environments.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new tools, technologies, and architectural patterns related to DevX, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and Kubernetes, including cost and impact analysis.
  • Act as a liaison between engineering teams, vendors, and consulting partners to ensure alignment with platform standards, security requirements, and delivery expectations.
  • Contribute to platform architecture direction and continuous improvement of the application and DevX tooling portfolio.
  • In partnership with operations and SRE teams, support production readiness, incident resolution, and reliability improvements, leveraging observability tools and SRE best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering standards, security controls, and compliance requirements across CI/CD pipelines and delivery platforms.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement, influencing teams through technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills rather than authority.
