Senior Software Engineer

Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 5–8+ years of professional experience building backend or data-driven systems
- Experience deploying production services in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Proven ability to ship software iteratively from concept to production
- Comfort working on large, ambiguous, real-world problems
- Strong commitment to clean code, scalability, and maintainability
- Experience taking ownership of existing systems and evolving them over time
- Ability to prioritize effectively and focus on high-impact work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience collaborating closely within cross-functional teams
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to data platforms, distributed systems, or large datasets is a plus
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar infrastructure tooling is a plus
- Languages: Python, PySpark
- Tools: Docker, Git, Kubernetes, Swagger/OpenAPI, AWS/Azure, MLFlow, Celery
- Data Platforms: Databricks, Delta Lakes (Spark experience is a plus but not a hard requirement)
Responsibilities
- Translate product requirements into technical solutions and implementation plans
- Partner with product managers and other engineers to deliver roadmap initiatives
- Design, build, and maintain backend services that support platform functionality
- Write production-grade code that supports data-intensive workloads
- Analyze technical challenges and propose scalable, maintainable solutions
- Own features end-to-end, from development through deployment
- Write tests and contribute to CI/CD and deployment practices
- Participate in code reviews and uphold strong engineering standards
- Mentor junior engineers and support their growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, data, and product teams
- Take ownership of systems and continuously improve performance and reliability
