The Microsoft Information Protection Team is growing and looking for a Senior Software Engineer, we are committed to provide best in class data protection for Microsoft customers. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
- 4+ years industry experience in software engineering
- 3+ years industry experience with writing, testing, and debugging C/C++ code
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: - This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- Coding experience on Windows, OSX, Linux, iOS, and Android preferred
- Experience with C# preferred
Responsibilities
- Collaborating on feature requirements
- Designing secure and robust modules that are modular and easy to maintain
- Writing thorough and targeted tests
- Collaborating with partners and customers to evaluate security features
- Generating and monitoring alerts to ensure applications and services function properly
