Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer at Precisely, you will be responsible for developing software products within the Precisely Location Intelligence line of business. You will have ownership of the code base and all related build processes and automation. You will work within a team using agile methods to implement and deliver project requirements and will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements. This role will require global collaboration so we prefer candidates in EST or CST, however, all time zones will be considered.

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust software components that support geocoding and address validation workflows.
  • Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and reliability through iterative development and optimization.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality C/C++ code, adhering to industry best practices and internal coding standards.
  • Refactor legacy code to improve maintainability and performance.
  • Conduct and participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Provide constructive feedback and mentor junior developers when appropriate.
  • Operate within an agile Scrum team, contributing to sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in software engineering
  • Proven experience in C/C++ programming language
  • Understanding and implementation of automated software testing and Quality Assurance methodologies
  • Self-motivated and have ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must have a client perspective mindset
  • Experience working with internal and external customers
  • Must be hard working, team oriented, creative, cooperative, and an exceptional problem-solver
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
