About The Position

Are you an accomplished Senior Software Engineer? Are you passionate about building and improving growing SaaS platforms? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join PropertyRadar, a dynamic and fast-growing company. At PropertyRadar, we are on a mission to provide small businesses with better access to the opportunities found in public records. We’ve been doing it for real estate investors, Realtors, mortgage brokers, home service companies, and others since 2007. We are broadening our customer base and looking to scale significantly. As a Senior Software Engineer at PropertyRadar, you will be responsible for leading and executing feature creation and improvement work as we extend and improve our existing successful cloud product. You will work closely with other engineering teams to design and implement robust solutions while tuning optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency. About You You are a strong software engineer used to helping software-as-a-service engineering teams move fast. You have proven expertise in SaaS application development and know industry best practices. However, you balance speed with a deep understanding of quality and security needs. You want to be part of a successful and fast-moving team. You communicate well in both synchronous (e.g. video calls, Slack) and asynchronous tools (e.g. Confluence, Jira). You strive to understand the underlying issue and work to propose and implement the best solution while listening and incorporating suggestions and feedback from teammates. You are comfortable working in an AI-first development environment . You use AI tools (e.g., coding assistants, LLMs, and other automation) as part of your daily workflow, and you are thoughtful about correctness, security, and maintainability when doing so. You’re excited to help design and build AI-powered features that make complex data simple and useful for our customers. You get stuff done . You look for opportunities to automate repetitive work and use AI to amplify your impact, so you can spend more time on high-value engineering and product design. You like to do things right the first time rather than having to do them two or three times. You document as you go, so that your teammates can stay up to date and in sync with your work. You have a proven track record. You’ve delivered high-quality, successful, and scalable SaaS products. You have 8+ years of hands-on experience building SaaS applications. You learned by getting a degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) then getting hands-on experience or jumping right in learning on the job. You’ve successfully used AI tools or AI-powered features in production systems or you can clearly demonstrate how you would apply them thoughtfully in a SaaS environment.

Requirements

You have 8+ years of hands-on experience building SaaS applications.
You learned by getting a degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) then getting hands-on experience or jumping right in learning on the job.
You’ve successfully used AI tools or AI-powered features in production systems or you can clearly demonstrate how you would apply them thoughtfully in a SaaS environment.

Nice To Haves

Bonus points for cloud architecture, engineering, or security certifications especially for AWS.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate accountability for the features you work on, from requirements gathering to deployment and follow-up.
Proactively raise concerns or flag risks related to timelines, scope, or technical decisions.
Understand and align with the business goals and adapt technical work to support them.
Discuss, evaluate, and propose software design trade-offs based on your deep understanding of SOLID principles.
Give and receive code reviews with a focus on growth, quality, and maintainability.
Work with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
Actively seek feedback and be eager to learn from others.
Show initiative by suggesting improvements, whether in tooling, processes, or product.
Clearly communicate designs and decisions.
Use AI as a core part of your workflow from coding assistants and test generation to documentation while maintaining high standards for correctness, performance, and security.
Design and iterate on AI-powered product experiences (e.g., natural-language search, recommendations, and automated workflows) in partnership with Product and Design.
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to define and refine requirements.
Release secure applications based on your solid understanding of security best practices, including authentication and authorization mechanisms and protocols.
Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in technology, security, and architecture.
Evaluate emerging technologies.
Reduce admin burden and eliminate blockers to stay on track.
Jump in where needed, always being bold and leading by example
Develop complex, secure, and high performing features in both PHP and Python, including writing unit and integration tests for continuous integration environments.
Maintain and create Dockerfiles using your experience in Docker and other containerization technologies.
Design and develop large-scale APIs using a deep understanding of REST principles.
Document and validate your work with OpenAPI and JSON Schema for API documentation and validation.
Write complex SQL queries, including advanced techniques such as Common Table Expressions (CTEs).
Optimize and design queries for Lucene-based database management systems, such as Elasticsearch or Solr.
Create developer-friendly API documentation.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices using deep understanding of Flutter and Dart, including state management approaches (e.g., MobX, Provider).
Translate Figma designs into reusable, pixel-perfect Flutter widgets, with attention to responsive behavior and accessibility.
Debug efficiently across different platforms while dealing with platform-specific quirks.
Integrate effectively with RESTful APIs and handling common client-side concerns like caching, error handling, and performance optimization.
Shares knowledge and patterns that could be reused across other projects within the client guild.
Helps define or refine standards for Flutter development.
