Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with service fundamentals including monitoring, alerting, incident response, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with automation frameworks and interest in AI-driven service optimization.

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and operating cloud services with solid coding and debugging skills in Typescript/Javascript, C#, Java, or similar, plus familiarity with web technologies.
  • Experience with problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure reliability and performance of Word Online services at global scale.
  • Lead initiatives to modernize service infrastructure, reduce operational overhead, and improve engineering velocity.
  • Build automation and AI-based solutions for monitoring, diagnostics, and self-healing systems.
  • Design scalable, secure, and maintainable service architectures.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve service health and customer experience.
