As a Senior Software Engineer, you will plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. You'll report to Senior Manager, Software Engineering. This is a remote opportunity. POSITION: Senior Software Engineer WORK LOCATION: 512 S Mangum Street, Suite 100, Durham, NC 27701 (Telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the U.S.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 4 years of experience in a software developer-related occupation, including 4 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Scripting language NodeJS, VueJS, and/or ReactJS;
  • RDBMS SQL, mySQL, and/or PostgreSQL;
  • API security tools;
  • Distributed source control tools and development workflow, including GIT and/or source;
  • control alternatives;
  • AWS, GCP, and/or Azure cloud infrastructure;
  • CI/CD; and
  • Testing strategies and tools
  • Education and experience may be gained concurrently.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, develop and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools.
  • Guide the full life-cycle of software development, including analysis, design, implementation and testing of new projects and features.
  • Build next generation of services and APIs to support processing of data in developing novel content APIs.
  • Telecommuting permitted from anywhere within the U.S.
