  • Develop, optimize, and maintain code to enhance performance, security, and quality.
  • Partner with stakeholders (e.g., project managers) to drive project plans, release plans, and work items, leveraging your expertise in product features.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to conceptualize high-level design for scenarios or features.
  • Lead in identifying dependencies and crafting design documents for Azure Core Compute features.
  • Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitor service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiating actions to restore service.
  • Continuously acquire new knowledge, adapting to technical trends and patterns to improve product availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Take on the role of Architect, driving the development of azure compute node services features with a security-first approach.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, OR Java, JavaScript, Rust or Python OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in large-scale distributed systems analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, OR Python OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience

  • 1+ year(s) experience in azure compute core and security domains.
