Position: Senior Software Engineer Job Location: 1375 Crossman Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94089 Duties: Architect, design, and implement code for various consumer facing features in the Walmart Canada Mobile App using software languages Kotlin, Java, and XML. Create and maintain internal shared libraries in Android SDK for the global app on software version control repository GitHub. Implement dependency injection capable software framework for various end-user feature components for eCommerce app. Debug production issues using software tools like Charles and Postman to verify and validate API interactions with GraphQL and RESTful services. Provide technical solutions to mitigate any customer impact. Gather requirements and design, develop, test, and support software applications. Design and develop memory-efficient solutions for robust User Interface (UI) and unit testing coverage for various features. Help ensure e-Commerce site components conform to the performance and scalability requirements. Coordinate with the product and design team to influence the roadmap and product development of Walmart Canada App and internal services. Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Eng. Management, or related area and 1 year of experience in software engineering or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Eng. Management, or related area and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related area. Skills Required: Experience coding in object oriented programming languages Kotlin and Java. Experience with data analytics trends monitoring using Firebase and Splunk Experience implementing asynchronous and multi-threading programing using Coroutines. Experience writing GraphQL query and using Apollo GraphQL client to establish network connection with backend servers. Experience utilizing LiveData and ViewModel to write lifecycle-aware business logic and keep UI up to date. Experience creating and testing database management systems SQL and JDBC. Experience using JUnit and Mockito as automation testing frameworks for unit testing features. Experience using Espresso to write concise, efficient, and reliable Android UI tests. Experience scripting for Continuous Integration Automation jobs using YAML and Python Experience using architecture design patterns to design a clean architecture codebase. Experience working with version control system Git. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills. Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
