About The Position

GliaCell is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract. The Work: Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies.

Requirements

  • Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • An active Top Secret clearance with polygraph (CI within the last 5 years).
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Professional/Education experience: 12 years & Bachelors of Science Degree, or 10 years & Masters Degree, or 14 years & Associates Degree, or 16 years & High School Diploma
  • Works well independently as well as on a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Java, Spring Boot or Python
  • Microservice architectures
  • Experienced working with AWS tool suite such as OSS, DynamoDB, Lambdas, and CloudWatch
  • CI/CD Tools: AWS tools, Maven, Gitlab & GitOps; Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible
  • Database : NoSQL / MongoDB / DynamoDB Query and Schema Design
  • OAuth/OIDC Implementation experience
  • Test frameworks and automation to include Cyprus and Cucumber

Responsibilities

  • Writing Java Spring Boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologies
  • Utilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
  • Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
  • Implement CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps
  • Agile development and delivery of software
  • Communication and collaboration: Software Development is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.
