About The Position

Senior Software Engineer – (Intralinks, Inc.; Waltham, MA): Works closely with Product Owners, architects, and other team members to understand story definitions and acceptance criteria, translating requirements into design and implementation. Develops new product features and contributes to stabilizing existing applications. Participates in deploying applications across multiple environments and performs regression testing to ensure product quality. Extends automation testing for both UI and backend services, continuously improving testing coverage and reliability. Inspects iterative development results and proposes improvements to techniques, tools, and processes to enhance engineering efficiency. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and pain points, building solutions that improve user experience and product value. Additionally, contributes to AI-enabled product capabilities, including integrating AI/ML services, LLM-based features, and intelligent automation within applications. Works with vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, and AI-driven APIs to build intelligent workflows and enhance product capabilities. Supports the development of AI-assisted features such as document analysis, automated insights, conversational interfaces, and recommendation systems. Ensures responsible AI integration with attention to scalability, reliability, and data security.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Good knowledge of NoSQL databases and caching layers – MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra.
Experience integrating with RESTful APIs using JSON and XML payloads.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React, AngularJS, Backbone, Ember, along with HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Ajax, Web Standards, and User Experience (UX) principles.
Programming experience with Node.js, Java, or Python.
Good knowledge of messaging systems such as ActiveMQ or RabbitMQ.
Knowledge of Azure, AWS, and other SaaS cloud-based platforms.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with AI/ML services, Large Language Models (LLMs), or AI APIs.
Familiarity with AI-assisted application development, including conversational interfaces, recommendation engines, or intelligent document processing.
Understanding of vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, or retrieval-based AI systems.
Experience integrating AI services from platforms such as OpenAI, Azure AI, or open-source models.
Knowledge of AI-driven automation, data pipelines, and scalable AI service integration.
