About The Position

BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support analysts and operators by designing, developing, and integrating tools to automate data collection, analysis, and presentation. This position will be based out of Fort Meade, Maryland. Having a deep understanding of the customer's mission, dataflow, and tooling is critical to this position. You will be expected to provide guidance and vision as you work with mission stakeholders and software engineers to specify, develop, integrate, and test new workflows aided by AI/ML technologies. Clearance required of a TS/SCI with Poly.

Requirements

• 12 yrs., B.S. in a technical discipline or 4 additional yrs. in place of B.S.
• Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly
• Production-grade software development experience in Python.
• Experience within CNO domain developing tools to meet analyst and operator pain points.
• Experience leveraging HTTP-based APIs to access data through queries.
• Practical experience with platforms for processing Agency data sets.
• Experience with software source control (git) and Atlassian tool suite - Jira, Confluence.
• Experience presenting data analysis results to customers.
• Experience interacting with stakeholders to elicit requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working as a lead for a development team.
• Practical experience in one or more artificial intelligence domains (e.g., intelligent systems, autonomy, planning, NLP).
• Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems.
• Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations.
• Familiarity with cloud computing technologies (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with web application/UI development.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project from inception to delivery in the CNO domain, including problem decomposition, design, development, deployment, and maintenance of full-stack data analysis applications.
• Interact with mission stakeholders to elicit requirements and devise solutions.
• Navigate customer data types to identify and extract relevant information.
• Collaborate with other software engineers to test workflows, identify issues, and recommend pathways for fixes.
• Overcome inevitable obstacles.
