The Maritime Systems Division of Leidos is seeking an experienced software engineer with experience in software architecture, design, implementation, and integration of real-time systems. The position will be responsible for the modification of existing software as well as the creation of new software. A successful candidate will have experience developing in Rust in a real-time system. Experience with C++, Java, JavaScript, and Python is beneficial. The candidate should work well in a collaborative environment, understand Agile development methodologies, and seek to identify and champion both technical and process innovations. The C4I Prototype is a new product that is rapidly maturing and nearing readiness for deployment. The program provides for deployment, monitoring, and communications of a buoy that includes a software defined radio. The implementation in Rust controls the radio in meeting key mission objectives. Tasking and responsibilities will vary depending on project objectives and may extend to programs beyond the C4I Prototype.
