Telecommuting available from anywhere in US. HQ in Minneapolis, MN. Essential Responsibilities: Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes to support data integration within the Workday PRISM Analytics and Accounting Center platform. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility, enabling effective data-driven decision making. Specific duties include: Leading cross-functional initiatives to implement PRISM and Accounting Center transformations (unpivot, filter, rank, calculated fields) to enable granular financial reporting and audit-ready data lineage; Directing integration efforts using Workday Studio, EIBs, and Orchestrate while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless data flow between Workday and third-party platforms; Developing, optimizing, and maintaining PRISM and Accounting Center transformations, ensuring high volume data transformation accuracy and performance across financial systems; Providing strategic leadership during critical incidents, including proactively identifying root causes and coordinating resolution efforts across engineering and finance teams; Designing and optimizing accounting sources, rules, and posting flows for event based accounting, plan readiness, and performance validation for large data releases and cutovers; Developing and testing inbound integrations (e.g., Workday Studio) to load accounting events, liabilities, and characteristics from external systems; Engineering large volume export patterns (e.g., governed S3 pipelines) to support reconciliations and parallel run analysis with enterprise data platforms; Delivering matrix and advanced reports on derived datasets, including crafting calculated fields and summarizations to provide drillable, performant views for Finance stakeholders; and Providing production support for the FDM product that represents a number of applications that includes triaging incidents, performing root cause analysis in transformations, and promoting fixes through controlled transports. Uses the following tools and technologies: Workday Integrations (EIB/API/Connectors/Studio/Orchestrate); Scripting languages (Python, Shell scripting); CI/CD pipeline, GitHub, and UDeploy; Snowflake; Workday PRISM Analytics, Accounting Center and Workday integrations, and Agile tools (JIRA/PractiTest/Dragonboat/Scrum-Kanban); AWS Cloud solutions (Snowflake and S3). Basic Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience in a software development occupation. Required Skills/Experience: Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Implementing PRISM and Accounting Center transformations, including unpivot, filter, rank, and calculated fields. 2) Directing integration efforts using Workday Studio, EIBs, and Orchestrate to ensure seamless data flow between Workday and third-party platforms. 3) Engineering large volume export patterns, including governed S3 pipelines, to support reconciliations and parallel run analysis with enterprise data platforms. 4) Developing and testing inbound integrations, including Workday Studio, to load accounting events, liabilities, and characteristics from external systems.
