As a Senior Software Engineer on User Safety, you will be responsible for designing and building large scale systems for abuse reporting, a critical part of keeping Roblox safe. You will work on services with substantial scaling needs in the path of many critical user journeys, and you will feel a true sense of ownership and responsibility in thoughtfully and fairly protecting our users, while carefully balancing freedom and civility.

Requirements

5+ years of experience with scalable infrastructure and distributed systems
5+ years of experience in Golang/C++/C#/Java/etc.
Experience with modern microservice architecture.
Capability and willingness in being predominantly a product engineer but occasionally serve a platform role with internal partners.
Interest with Safety systems.

Responsibilities

Build large-scale services for intaking, enriching, routing, and decisioning abuse reports.
Work closely with UX design, research, data science, and product managers to substantially improve the efficacy, scale, and trustworthiness of abuse reporting.
Help evolve our moderation infrastructure to meet new safety and compliance requirements.
Leverage ML to tackle difficult problems at scale.
Work with a tightly-knit, high-performing, diverse, and energetic cross-functional product engineering team with a strong sense of camaraderie.
