Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, as part of the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and implement automated test scripts to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of the Payments systems, ensuring secure, accurate, and efficient transaction processing.

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Java, Python and other relevant technologies
  • 2+ years of experience with SDLC and Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence etc.
  • Experience in using test automation frameworks and tools including Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, and TestNG
  • Knowledgeable in payment messaging standards such as ISO 8583 and ISO 20022
  • Experience in API testing and validation using tools like Postman and RestAssured, particularly in the context of payment systems
  • Strong understanding of Agile development practices, including Scrum and Kanban methodologies
  • Proficient with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control systems
  • Demonstrates analytical thinking and effective problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork
