ABOUT THE TEAM At LOFT Moving by RealPage, our focus is on building great products that solve real-world problems for our customers. Our core product is LOFT Moving and the Moving Marketplace, a series of Resident facing applications that helps residents move into their new home. We are looking for a senior developers to join our growing and diverse team. WHAT YOU'LL DO We’re looking for a productminded Senior Software Engineer who can translate complex business problems into elegant, scalable solutions across the stack. You’ll lead with TypeScript, build services in Node.js, craft modern React experiences, and collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Platform to ship highimpact features with measurable outcomes.

Requirements

5-8+ years building production software, including 3+ years with TypeScript across frontend and/or backend.
Expertise in Node.js (TypeScript): Express/Fastify/NestJS (or similar), async patterns, performance profiling, and memory/CPU tuning.
Expertise in React (TypeScript): component design, hooks, state/data management, accessibility (WCAG), and testing (React Testing Library/Jest).
API craftsmanship: Designing stable REST/GraphQL APIs; authentication/authorization (OAuth2/OIDC), pagination, rate limiting, and telemetry.
Quality mindset: Proficiency with Jest and integration testing; code review excellence; strong debugging and observability (logs/metrics/traces).
Collaboration & communication: Ability to lead technical discussions, write crisp design docs, and influence product direction with data and empathy.

Nice To Haves

Eventdriven systems: Practical experience with queues/streams (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS, Service Bus) and eventual consistency patterns.
Cloud & CI/CD: Comfort with AWS or Azure; containers (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS/AKS), and pipelines (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/etc.).
Performance & Reliability: Profiling web performance, Web Vitals, CDN strategies; SRE practices, chaos testing, and OpenTelemetry.
Security depth: Threat modeling, dependency scanning (SCA), SAST/DAST, and secrets automation (Vault/Parameter Store/Key Vault).

Responsibilities

Own endtoend delivery of customerfacing capabilities—from discovery and technical design through implementation, testing, release, and observability in production.
Design and build performant APIs and eventdriven services in Node.js (TypeScript) that integrate with internal and thirdparty systems.
Develop modern web apps with React (TypeScript), implementing accessible, resilient UI patterns and highquality state/data management.
Elevate code quality through automated tests (unit, integration, UI), code reviews, and engineering best practices.
Make smart tradeoffs on architecture, performance, cost, security, and developer velocity; communicate decisions clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
Partner crossfunctionally with Product and Design on discovery, scoping, and outcomes; mentor engineers and uplevel team practices.
Instrument, measure, and iterate using logging, tracing, dashboards, and A/B experiments to ensure reliability and impact.
