About The Position

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? Well, we pump peanut butter into your jar, and the oil in your car. We glue the soles of your shoes, the glass in your windows and the screen on your phone. We spray the finish on your vehicle, coatings on your pills, the paint on your house and texture on your walls. Graco is part of your daily life. This role is currently based at our Minneapolis office and will transition to our new headquarters in Dayton, MN, in 2027. The Senior Software Engineer – Salesforce is a hands-on technical expert responsible for designing, building, and supporting scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions across Graco’s customer enablement platforms, including Salesforce CRM, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, B2B Marketing Cloud, and related enterprise systems. This position plays a critical part in translating business requirements into robust technical solutions that drive sales effectiveness, customer experience, and operational efficiency. Working closely with product owners, architects, administrators, and business stakeholders across Sales, Service, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations, this engineer will lead solution design, development, and integration efforts while setting technical standards and mentoring other engineers. Success in this role requires deep Salesforce platform expertise, strong engineering discipline, and the ability to balance speed, quality, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and related platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, Flows, and Salesforce configuration.
  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise-grade integrations using APIs and middleware platforms.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce data models, security architecture, sharing rules, and performance optimization.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery teams.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into high-quality technical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, App Builder, Administrator, or Architect).

Responsibilities

  • Solution Design & Development Design, develop, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and declarative configuration.
  • Translate functional and non-functional requirements into secure, maintainable, and extensible technical designs aligned with Salesforce best practices.
  • Lead development of complex business logic, custom integrations, automation, and data models across Sales, Service, and Marketing use cases.
  • Drive adoption of configuration-first and low-code approaches where appropriate, while applying custom development only when necessary.
  • Integration, Data & Platform Engineering Build and support Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
  • Partner with Integration, Data, and Infrastructure teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise integration patterns, data governance, and security standards.
  • Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across CRM workflows, reporting, and downstream systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Quality, Security & Release Management Enforce engineering best practices including code quality, testing, documentation, and version control.
  • Design and implement automated testing strategies to support CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure Salesforce solutions meet security, compliance, and performance requirements, including role-based access, sharing models, and data protection.
  • Participate in release planning, deployment, and post-release validation across environments.
  • Technical Leadership & Collaboration Serve as a technical leader and mentor to junior engineers and administrators, providing guidance on design patterns and platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners and architects to shape solution roadmaps and technical direction.
  • Participate in discovery workshops, design reviews, and technical demos with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate new Salesforce features and emerging technologies to identify opportunities to improve platform capability and efficiency.
