In doing so, we keep Roblox safe, civil, and inclusive, and we foster positive relationships between people around the world. WHY Safety Foundation ? As a Senior Software Engineer on the Safety Foundation Team, you will architect, implement, and grow the systems that enable the moderation of all content and interactions on Roblox. You will be a core part of a team that is 10x-ing our scale, increasing our platform capabilities, and reducing the time it takes any creator or team at Roblox to safeguard their feature or experience by several orders of magnitude (months to hours). Your work will be foundational in keeping the experiences of over 300 million monthly active users at Roblox safe, civil, and delightful.

Requirements

5+ years of experience with scalable infrastructure and distributed systems
5+ years of experience in Golang/C++/C#/Java/etc.
Experience with Automation at scale (eg ML, but not an ML engineer)
Experience with internal cross-functional product/customer support (ie a "Platform Mindset"—other teams at the company are your customer)

Responsibilities

Build large-scale distributed services and tools used by other teams to detect and address problematic content on Roblox. These systems require high usability, availability, security (authentication and access control), and data integrity. We are building the AWS for Safety.
Work directly with other teams at Roblox to define and maintain their integration into the Roblox Safety Platform, using Safety best practices, standards and guardrails. Our vision is to support Creation Anywhere, while keeping Roblox safe and civil for our community.
Work on the core of parts of our Moderation Platform by designing high-scale, event-driven workflow systems, advanced investigative tooling, and intelligent 'Agentic' workers. Your work will drive massive improvements in platform integration, automation, and auditability for partner teams across Roblox.
Manage end-to-end solutions from creation to deployment – including implementation, testing, deployment and observability
Help evolve our moderation infrastructure to meet new safety and compliance requirements
Work with a tightly-knit, high-performing, diverse, and energetic cross-functional product engineering team with a strong sense of camaraderie.
