About The Position

Teladoc Health Inc. seeks Senior Software Engineer, QA Automation (Multiple Openings) at its facility located at 155 East 44th Street, Floor 17, New York, New York 10017. The role involves developing and executing test plans and test cases with a strong emphasis on using code to solve technical challenges and shorten the test cycle through automation. Responsibilities include estimating test efforts, analyzing, and communicating test results, improving existing test automation frameworks, writing specialized testing tools, collaborating with teammates in Development, Test and Product Management, contributing to the maintenance and expansion of the Continuous Integration (CI) environment, identifying required improvements in test and development processes, and participating in day-to-day QA activities. This position allows for 100% telecommuting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 8 years of experience as a Quality Test Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or occupation involving Software Testing.
• Experience with UI test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, OR Appium).
• Experience automating tests using Java, Scala, Python, or a similar language.
• Experience automating tasks with shell scripting languages.
• Experience working on different databases such as Oracle or MySQL.
• Experience with object-oriented programming, coding, and debugging using Java or Python.
• Knowledge of software design principles, patterns, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts using Java or Python.
• Experience with continuous integration practices using Jenkins.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 6 years of experience as a Quality Test Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or occupation involving Software Testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases with a strong emphasis on automation.
• Estimate test efforts, analyze, and communicate test results.
• Add to and improve existing test automation framework, tools, and technologies.
• Write specialized testing tools for the software platform as needed.
• Collaborate with Development, Test, and Product Management teams to design and implement test and validation strategies.
• Contribute to the maintenance and expansion of the Continuous Integration (CI) environment.
• Identify required improvements in test and development processes.
• Participate in day-to-day QA activities.
