About the position
The Senior Software Engineer - Platforms at Nutanix is responsible for developing and supporting innovative solutions for the Foundation Central product line. This role emphasizes collaboration with teams in the US and India, focusing on architectural discussions, customer escalations, and ensuring high performance and reliability of the platform. The position promotes independence and problem-solving within a dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural discussions and design closures for the Foundation Central product line.
- Manage and resolve vendor interactions and customer escalations during US time zones.
- Develop and implement features in a microservices architecture using Python and Go.
- Collaborate with US and India teams on product development and customer support.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration with OEM partners and other teams.
- Drive innovation by contributing to next-generation architecture and feature development.
- Foster a culture of independence, ownership, and problem-solving within the team.
- Achieve familiarity with the Foundation Central platform and onboard new OEM partners.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and Go programming languages
- Understanding of x86 server architecture and storage systems
- Knowledge of operating system concepts and system-level understanding
- Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Strong problem-solving skills for addressing vendor concerns and customer escalations
- Experience in hardware-software integration
- Ability to work independently and engage effectively with global teams
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability to cultural differences.
