About The Position

MUFG is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with payment check processing experience. In this role you will collaborate with other senior technical team members and other developers to conceptualize, design, and deliver innovative technology solutions. You will interact with various technology, product and business teams across MUFG. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 to 8 years of production support for check processing applications within a financial institution, preferable item processing system from FIS
Application development experience on data platforms, leveraging SQL, ETL Tools and object-oriented languages (Java, Python)
Minimum 6-8 years of development with complex SQL queries, Java script and Linux/Window shell scripting
Experience with Java and Java frameworks
Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Unix /Linux based environments
Experience managing teams in Agile environments
Experience with IDE tools - Eclipse, IntelliJ
Strong knowledge and experience with Oracle DB/IBM DB2/Microsoft SQL server
Application Security and Shell Scripting
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience

Web Service development experience (REST/JSON, SOAP)
Java - Core, Enterprise, Spring Framework (for Cloud Native Development)
Spring Boot or Spring Cloud, Micro Services, Kubernetes/OpenShift
Message Queue or ActiveMQ, JavaScript (jQuery/React JS)
High-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.

Responsibilities
