About The Position

Figure is excited to be growing our businesses and creating new teams. We are looking for curious, innovative, and collaborative team members. Engineering is at the heart of the action, building out our blockchain protocol and direct-to-consumer products that will transform the financial services industry. Everything is developed from scratch, and every engineer has a significant impact on the team and the company's growth. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Loan Originations Team, you will help develop and maintain full-stack, customer-facing lending products. You will produce and implement functional software solutions. You will work with product and upper management to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects. In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be smart, passionate about software development, and eager to continually grow. We are open to fully remote in the US for this role.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree, Computer Science major preferred
• 5 + years of engineering/development experience in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin, JVM-based programming, Kafka preferred
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to succeed in a startup environment
• Ability to drive a project from concept to release
• Proficiency in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD)
• Familiarity with Iterative Software Development. "If it's not in production, we aren't iterating."
