Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. The Battle Management Software (BMS) Department in Ft. Wayne, IN focuses on providing world class Radar and Command and Control (C2) Software for our customers' wide array of Surveillance and Warning Systems. BMS is looking to hire a skilled Senior Software Engineer with experience in C++ applications, to work onsite.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • A minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, OR an advanced degree in a related field and minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++ or Ada.
  • Experience with Script languages like C shell, Perl.
  • Experience using debugging tools.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience on XBR, AN/TPY-2, COBRA DANE, QEWR, UEWR, SRP or other current missile defense programs.
  • Experience working in Agile environments such as scrum, scrum at scale, SAFe and DevSecOps.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
  • Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems.
  • Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible.
  • Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development environment, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Redhat and Linux Operating Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test software based on software trouble reports in an agile, collaborative environment, delivering build to site twice a year.
  • Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline.
  • Travel to customer site (up to 50%) for software build install and test, as needed.
