Total Wine & More is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, o9 in Analytical Forecasting and Management to join our enterprise engineering team. We are passionate about building scalable performant applications and leveraging a robust AI/ML solution to support our Supply Chain and Merchandising teams. We are in a multi-year transformation of our systems and processes with a focus on user experience and scalability. This role will fill a key role on the team as a lead level integration specialist of our Forecasting/Recommendations tools and provide design guidance, development and ongoing support / maintenance of new functionality and capabilities. This role will have hands-on leadership experience in development and designing of enterprise forecasting solutions in Supply Chain and Merchandising. This role will be responsible for new initiatives as well as leading the day-to-day operational / technical aspects associated with our Forecasting/Recommendations platform. This role requires strong communication skills and be able to collaborate with technical and non-technical partners, vendors, senior management stakeholders and may require travel to our Bethesda, MD or Boca Raton, FL offices or satellites. This role reports to the Director, Software Engineering. You will Lead level architecture and design of scalable forecasting/recommendation solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, data governance, and IT to define forecasting/recommendation strategies and roadmaps. Develop and maintain data models, workflows, and integration processes to support purchasing data lifecycle management. Implement best practices for data quality, governance, and metadata management within forecasting/recommendation systems. Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and training as needed. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize forecasting/recommendation processes and enhance data usability and reliability. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in forecasting/recommendations space. You will come with Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, technology, or similar. 5+ years working with Forecasting/Recommendations solutions, preferably O9 Solutions. 5+ years hands-on systems configuration and development experience on Forecasting/Recommendation systems. Technical skills in software development, preferably C#, Java, or a similar OOP language. Knowledge of RDBMS/NoSQL databases and experience SQL or NoSQL syntax. Understanding of REST APIs for troubleshooting/analysis pertaining to forecasting/recommendation integrations. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with internal and external customers/partners. Knowledge of Agile development practices, methodologies, and tools; preferably Scrum.
