About The Position

We are looking for a highly-skilled and motivated Software team member that will be responsible for working with a cross-disciplinary team of engineers developing and maturing our rapidly growing family of counter drone technologies. This role will be involved with designing, developing, testing, and maintaining networking software for counter UAS systems. You will be responsible for implementing efficient, reliable networking solutions in constrained environments, connecting systems to allow for increased functionality. This role will work in a software development and manufacturing environment where projects are realized with the highest degree of commitment to quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Adaptable, eager to learn, and create, with a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
• Ability to work in a small team to rapidly prototype and develop new products.
• 7+ years of experience working in software engineering with an emphasis on networking and network architecture.
• Experience with wired and wireless communication on embedded devices.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts and embedded protocol stacks (TCP/IP, UDP, UDP multicast, DHCP, etc.).
• Proficiency debugging with tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump.
• Experience with Jira, and GitLab or Github and continuous integration tools.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with embedded debuggers like JTAG.
• Experience with mesh networking or low-power WANS (LoRaWAN).
• Network implementations in embedded operating systems (LWIP, Zepher).
• Familiarity with secure communication standards (TLS, SSL, DTLS).
