As a Senior Software Engineer within PNC's Commercial Lending organization, you will be based in Dallas TX or Pittsburgh PA. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in React for front-end development, heavy API design and integration, and full stack .NET development.

Requirements

  • Full Stack .NET Development experience, including: C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, and Web API
  • Strong proficiency in React for front-end development.
  • Extensive experience with API development and integration (RESTful services).
  • Solid understanding of SQL Server and relational database design.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Successful candidates must demonstrate appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities for a role.
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
  • Certifications are often desired.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack .NET applications supporting commercial lending workflows.
  • Build responsive, dynamic user interfaces using React and modern front-end best practices.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for internal and external systems, ensuring scalability and security.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Work with SQL Server for database design, optimization, and query development.
  • Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with banking standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly.
