About The Position

Join us as we work to create a thriving ecosystem that delivers accessible, high-quality, and sustainable healthcare for all. Build and ship robust full‑stack systems that enable seamless, secure data exchange across athenahealth’s ecosystem. Based in Boston, MA as a hybrid role, this position combines backend engineering, frontend development, and AI model integration to deliver production‑ready features and services that improve operational efficiency and patient care. Team summary Provide a secure, reliable, and developer-friendly integration platform that enables real‑time and batch data exchange between athenahealth systems, customers, and partners — accelerating partner onboarding, reducing operational toil, and ensuring data integrity. The Integration Platform team is the central capability other product teams rely on for coordinated, scalable, and user-focused access to external data and for exchanging information across the healthcare ecosystem. The team’s mission includes reducing integration build effort by providing standard integration patterns and tooling, operating and monitoring interfaces at scale for high availability, and enabling both standard and custom integrations where client requirements demand them. Key goals include improving interface stability and performance, supporting regulatory and compliance requirements, accelerating payer and partner onboarding, and delivering operational tooling that improves run‑time observability and maintainability. The team collaborates closely with product, security, operations, and partner engineering to prioritize reliability, measurable outcomes, and reduced manual work and time to value for customers.
