About The Position

Job Description: Do you have a passion for Software Testing and Automation? As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you blend extensive technical experience in test automation with business domain knowledge and data analysis. In an agile structure, you will partner with Squad Leads to implement test automation and execute manual testing to increase efficiencies in testing and support the squad in building highly stable applications that meet business needs. The Team In FFIO Test Engineering Chapter, we work in partnership with squad leaders and squad members that align to FFIO Tribes to promote testing practices, implement test automation and execute testing in support of technology-based initiatives. The Role We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks that ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test automation tools, scripting, and continuous integration practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in test automation and software quality assurance.
Expertise in automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
Expert in programming/scripting skills (Java, Python, or JavaScript).
Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Proficiency with API testing (Postman, REST Assured).
Strong command of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
Excellent communication skills and collaboration skills to work with multiple teams across the organization
High levels of engagement at the team and group levels; Desire to learn and impact outside your primary tasking.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
Hands on experience with crafting and maintaining testing frameworks like Junit, Cucumber, Fitnesse
Intermediate Java skills
Good understanding of web services testing
SQL skills is a must
Data analysis and technical troubleshooting

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and backend systems.
Design and implement test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools.
Collaborate with developers and QA teams to identify test requirements and coverage.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and report defects effectively.
Create and maintain documentation for test cases, scripts, and automation processes.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
Drive a strong quality practice and influence the Squad to focus on quality in each sprint
Continuously focus on improving stability and resiliency of critical business processes and applications
Ability to drive the test automation strategy within the team
Build efficiencies in testing that increase agility and time to deliver business value
