About The Position

Fidelity is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for Software Testing, Application Security, and Test Automation. This role requires extensive technical experience in test automation, combined with business domain knowledge and data analysis. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating systems, networks, and programming languages, with a strong focus on cyber security testing. Working within an agile structure, the Senior Software Engineer will partner with Squad Leads to implement test automation and execute manual testing, aiming to increase testing efficiencies and support the squad in building highly stable applications that meet business needs. The FFIO Test Engineering Chapter collaborates with squad leaders and members across FFIO Tribes to promote testing practices, implement test automation, and execute testing for technology-based initiatives. Requirements

• 5+ years of software product experience working on commercially available software.
• 5+ years of relevant technical experience and experience in test automation.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with cyber security testing.
• Familiarity with security threats and trends for the financial industry.
• Experience creating, maintaining, and enforcing the overall program test plan with stakeholders based on evolving schedules and timelines.
• Experience ensuring that all the various kinds of testing like unit, functionality, performance, acceptance etc. are covered.
• Experience reporting on the test progress, product quality status, and overall test results to initiative stakeholders.
• Financial services and Agile/Scrum experience.
• A bachelor’s degree or greater.
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration skills to collaborate with multiple teams across the organization.
• Ability to drive a strong quality practice and influence the Squad to focus on quality in each sprint.
• Ability to continuously focus on improving stability and resiliency of critical business processes and applications.
• Ability to drive the test automation strategy within the team.
• Firsthand experience with crafting and maintaining testing frameworks like Junit, Cucumber, Fitnesse.
• Intermediate Java skills.
• Good understanding of web services testing.
• SQL skills.
• Firsthand experience with DAST/SAST testing concepts, application access controls, and configuration auditing.
• Firsthand experience with static application security testing, dynamic application security testing, and manual penetration testing of applications.
• Data analysis and technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to build efficiencies in testing that increase agility and time to deliver business value.

Nice To Haves

• A Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) credential.
• Experience with Cypress.

Responsibilities

• Review test strategies with stakeholders and ensure that all the various kinds of testing like unit, functional, performance, acceptance etc. are covered.
• Develop and maintain automated suites/Frameworks of tests to assess product quality and release readiness.
• Develop Automation Framework related to application Security.
• Conduct Vulnerability assessment for applications in the organization.
• Find security vulnerabilities in source code.
• Train squads on test management.
• Conduct manual testing.
• Create efficiencies in testing that increase agility and time to deliver business value.
• Drive a strong quality practice and influence the Squad to focus on quality in each sprint.
• Continuously focus on improving stability and resiliency of critical business processes and applications.
