Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
• Demonstrable experience planning, building, delivering and maintaining high quality Android software.
• Deep understanding of the Android ecosystem, including concurrency, performance, remote debugging, build & delivery systems, dependency management, and semantic versioning.
• Willingness to work with Kotlin and at least one of the following: TypeScript, Dart, or C#.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to coach and mentor peers.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Swift or other JS based systems (web, ReactJS).
• Willingness to contribute to Braze's backend systems (Ruby, Golang).
• Experience participating in or maintaining open source repositories.
• Experience working in a distributed work environment.

Responsibilities

• Build customer engagement SDKs for the world's best known apps and sites.
• Provide rich APIs for integrating with our system as well as highly functional and flexible user interfaces.
• Optimize for performance, ease of integration, clean API design, and reliability.
• Partner with the Android team to make future-oriented architecture decisions.
• Deliver robust, easy to use SDKs.
• Contribute to multi-platform SDKs such as React Native, Flutter, and Unity.
