Senior Software Engineer I - iOS Performance

About The Position

Etsy is looking for an iOS engineer to join the Performance team under the Product Enablement organization, where you will improve the performance and performance monitoring of our native app. You will also work cross-functionally with product and platform teams to help them avoid shipping performance regressions and understand where improvements can be made. This is a full-time position reporting to the Performance Engineering Manager. Requirements

• Experience working on large iOS applications with many developers or teams.
• Proficiency in Swift and Objective C.
• Familiarity with Xcode, LLDB, the Simulator, Instruments, and various Apple devices.
• Experience in iOS debugging practices and tools.
• Strong communication skills and a product engineering mindset.

Responsibilities

• Improve the performance & monitoring of our iOS app.
• Identify how to make writing and maintaining performant code easier for other teams.
• Push our codebase forward, shipping quickly and safely.
• Provide daily support for peers across Etsy (e.g., writing documentation, reviewing pull requests, answering Slack questions, auditing new features).
