Senior Software Engineer - Hybrid Cloud
About The Position
The Hybrid Cloud pod's mission is to enable Roblox to create a private Cloud that spans third party Clouds and our own data centers. We do this by creating tooling that helps our internal customers access Cloud functionality and capacity in a self service way. This includes building a Control Plane, an amazing UX for our internal customers, and a provisioning engine that will lay the foundation for third party Cloud (and on prem) management. Reporting directly to Rishi Sharma, you'll shape the future of infrastructure management at Roblox.
Requirements
- 4+ years of industry experience.
- The desire to grow and learn - You are always looking for ways to improve the quality and efficiency of your work and the work of your team.
- Experience with public cloud providers such as - AWS, GCP or Azure
- The ability to use infrastructure as code tools such as Hashicorp Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
Responsibilities
- Build self service workflows to enable management of Cloud infrastructure by utilizing IaC, building Control Planes, and creating tooling in Golang/Python
- Partner with our Cloud Security team to secure our Cloud infrastructure
- Create network Virtual Private Cloud (VPCs) and designs. Arrange and coordinate direct connections between cloud services and on premise resources
- Build autonomous systems over ops and repetitive tasks.
- Create, influence, and improve the development platform, infrastructure, standards, and methods to ensure scalability and high availability
