Senior Software Engineer, Global Network Core Development
About The Position

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience programming in C++, Java or Python.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Nice To Haves
- Experience architecting and developing software for scalable, distributed systems.
- Experience optimizing software system performance.
- Experience debugging complex, distributed software systems.
- Experience in networking technologies/concepts such as Software Defined Networking (SDN).
- Experience in data structures, algorithms and complexity analysis.
- Understanding of Internet routing technologies and router/switch telemetry.
Responsibilities
- Make data analysis from production data to find gaps/error patterns/opportunities for existing system.
- Design, develop, integrate and test the features for B4 availability, scaling, new product introductions.
- Debug rootcause issues in integrated B4 ecosystem including traffic engineering and admission control.
- Prioritize work and ensure that incremental progress is made even if the problems at hand are difficult to solve in a short period of time.
- Help team members and partner teams understand the broader context, and solve the right problems at the right time.
