What You'll Do Design, build, and ship production-grade GenAI features Own GenAI features end-to-end, from system design and LLM integration through production deployment and iteration Build and maintain reusable GenAI platform components including LLM orchestration, prompt management, evaluation, observability, and cost controls Establish best practices for building, testing, and operating GenAI systems reliably in production Enable product engineering teams to ship GenAI-powered features through shared infrastructure, documentation, and hands-on support Make architectural decisions that balance speed, scalability, reliability, and cost across AI-driven systems What You'll Bring Must-haves: 6+ years of backend or platform engineering experience building production systems 1+ years of hands-on experience shipping GenAI or ML-powered features into production (not just prototypes) Strong system design skills, with experience designing distributed, reliable, and observable services Proficiency in modern languages and frameworks (i.e Python, Flask, TypeScript, React) with experience integrating third-party APIs and services Comfort making architectural decisions when industry best practices are still emerging Nice-to-haves: Experience with LLM frameworks, orchestration tools, or model evaluation techniques Background in data platforms, event-driven systems, or real-time pipelines Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), containers, and CI/CD Experience enabling other teams through platform or developer-experience work Who Thrives Here You’re a builder who cares deeply about shipping real value, not just experimenting with new technology.
