About The Position

As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on developing solutions to make Gemini available to government customers. You will help develop repeatable assets that reduce implementation friction and increase maintainability for critical customer problems and use cases, helping them transform their businesses using Google AI technologies. You will help customers to develop, deploy, and manage custom solutions in production. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience programming in Python or C++.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
  • 1 year of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (e.g., language modeling, computer vision).

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams from Customer Engineering, Professional Services, Product, Engineering, Sales and Business Development Managers to develop deployable code, ML models, prescriptive architectural guidance, and implementation guides.
  • Develop integration strategies, enterprise architectures, ML models, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud.
  • Partner with internal specialists, product and engineering teams to package best practices and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies and published assets.
  • Propose solution architectures.
  • Develop repeatable software assets that reduce implementation friction and increase maintainability for critical customer problems and use cases.
