Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• BS degree in computer science or other related fields with a minimum 4 years of experience in Java and web service development, OR MS degree in computer science or other related fields with a minimum 2 years of experience in Java and web service development.
• Track record of delivering scalable applications.
• In-depth knowledge in web services standards and related technologies, REST API, Microservices, Javascript, React.js and Containers.
• Solid understanding of database technologies including SQL, JPA.

Nice To Haves

• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
• Experience with Agentic AI: Building and managing agent platform.
• Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills.
• Ability to present ideas precisely and convey development concepts related to network, application, and systems - to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong teamwork-focus and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teams and across geographies.
• Passionate about learning and taking on new initiatives and takes pride in delivering quality software.
• Proficiency with Agile Development Techniques.
• Experience in Web development is a plus.
• Experience in Identity solutions like oAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, security tokens (JWS, JWE, access token, id token) or other IAM is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Design code and systems that touch the world population while influencing Visa's internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings.
• Actively contribute to product quality improvements, value added service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads.
• Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-users, b2c and b2b customers.
• Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Identity and Authentication Platform.
• Implement modifications to existing software code that complies with design specifications and meets security best practices.
• Assist with improvements to systems and tools and support development and implementation of new automation.
• Engage with team members during code/design reviews, participate in on-call rotations and incident responses throughout product development and operations cycles.
• Work closely with engineering leads, engineers, product manager, architects and client support teams, lead product development throughout the entire development cycle.
• Consistently apply sound engineering practices leading to improved business outcomes.
• Drive and facilitate feature and user story grooming, write functional and technical specifications, workflow designs and use cases.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and proactively assess and evaluate the adoption thereof into the organization.
• Be flexible to accommodate cross-region team development/collaboration and address urgent production issues.
