Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack
About The Position
We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our fast-growing team at ProRata, where we’re striving to create a fairer digital ecosystem. You’ll play a key role in the development of both the frontend and backend systems that power the Gist Console, a core platform in our partner experience. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and design to build scalable, high-quality features with a focus on performance, usability, and impact. Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, Next.js, SQL, and modern CSS
- Solid understanding of frontend architecture and state management
- Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or OpenSearch
- Familiarity with REST APIs and backend service development
- Comfort diagnosing performance bottlenecks and debugging complex issues
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility, and responsive design
- Ability to translate designs from tools like Figma into clean, production-ready code
- Excellent communication and analytical skills

Nice To Haves
- Experience with Python and training AI models for LLMs
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure web applications using Next.js, TypeScript, SQL, and CSS
- Develop and maintain integrations with backend services and APIs
- Lead and participate in architectural decisions, code reviews, and technical discussions
- Partner with designers to bring UI/UX designs to life with high fidelity and performance
- Continuously optimize frontend and backend performance for speed, scalability, and reliability
- Own features end-to-end (from concept to deployment and support)
- Contribute to improving engineering best practices and team processes
