Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services

At Jack Henry, we're more than a technology company, we're a force for good in financial services. We're redefining how community banks and credit unions connect with the people they serve. Our mission is rooted in people inspired innovation, empowering financial institutions to deliver seamless, secure, and human centered experiences. We deliver cutting-edge solutions that are paving the way for the next generation of digital banking and payments, but our true impact begins with our associates. If you're ready to help transform an industry and grow with a company that values purpose, collaboration, and excellence then we'd love to meet you. Jack Henry is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who's ready to step into a technical team lead role and help shape the future of our bill pay product offering within the Payments division. This isn't just a coding gig—it's a strategic position where you'll partner closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to drive team success. You'll lead daily standups, organize backlog refinements, create work items, and play a key role in priority meetings. About 60% of your time will be spent shaping the backlog and guiding execution, while the remaining 40% will be hands-on—writing clean, scalable code and reviewing contributions from your team. You'll be the go-to for backend service development, ensuring our solutions are robust, reliable, and aligned with business goals. We're looking for someone who sees the big picture and thrives on solving complex problems with clarity and purpose. You'll need to be an Agile advocate, a strong communicator, and someone who values collaboration over ego. Our ideal candidate is forward-thinking, curious, and always asking “What if?” when approaching challenges. At Jack Henry, we're digitally transforming how community banks and credit unions serve their customers—and we want you to help lead that charge. This is a remote position, and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Lenexa, KS; Springfield, MO; Monett, MO; Birmingham, AL; Louisville, KY; Charlotte, NC; or Cedar Falls; IA. The salary range for this position is $93,500- $123,700 and will be determined based on location and experience level. All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.
