About The Position

Google Public Sector's Sovereign Mission Solutions team is a group of engineers dedicated to helping organizations leverage the power of Google Cloud technologies. We build products that provide automation, repeatable patterns, and intelligent insights through advanced data analytics and Generative AI. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy solutions that address the unique needs of our public sector clients. You will possess and maintain an active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph. You will be required to obtain a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform GPS work. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 5 years of experience in software development.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience in languages such as Java, C++, Go, Python, or full-stack development.
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist or CKS.
  • 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience with AI, deep learning, or natural language processing.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop prototypes and build front-ends and back-ends for greenfield projects.
  • Work with GPS Sovereign Engineering and Google Distribute Cloud Engineering to survey existing pain points, and propose solutions and improvements.
  • Participate in and lead architecture and engineering designs with peers and stakeholders, and exercise technical judgment (e.g., deciding between available technologies).
  • Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Articulate technical concepts and analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences, including engineers and executives.
